Livadi Path №3 for disabled is the only fully wheelchair-accessible trail in the Troodos Mountains of Cyprus. Designed with care, the path features a smooth, hard surface that’s stable, secure, and well-maintained, making it a comfortable choice for everyone, from seasoned walkers to those with limited mobility. The trail winds through a peaceful forest of black pine, juniper, and ancient trees, filling the air with the fresh scent of pine. At 1,711 meters above sea level, it offers a stunning viewpoint over northern part of Cyprus. Cooler than the coast in summer, this easy route is perfect for beginners, families with young children, or anyone looking for a relaxed mountain-forest walk.

How to get here
  • The path is easily accessible by car, with parking available right at the trailhead or just by the road.
  • As it is a mountain road, be prepared for a lot of twists and turns, and be mindful of weather conditions in the mountains, as they may differ from other parts of the island. During the winter months, some mountain roads might be open only to four-wheel-drive vehicles or cars with winter chains on tires.

  • High up on Mount Olympus, it is always several degrees cooler. You may need extra clothes.
  • A significant part of the trail winds through a shadowy pine forest, offering cool, refreshing shade — especially welcome during the summer months.
  • For those who want to enjoy the panoramic viewpoint halfway through the trail, there’s a short 200-meter detour that rewards you with sweeping views of northern Cyprus, Morphou Bay, and the Solea Valley.

  • Livadi tou Pasha, one of the area’s most popular and spacious picnic spots. Set at 1,600 meters above sea level, it can host up to 1,600 visitors and is surrounded by a protected peat valley that looks stunning year-round. This large, pine-shaded area features wooden tables (some covered), fire pits, restrooms, and a central playground. A stone-paved road runs through the site, making it easily accessible for wheelchairs and strollers. Facilities also include restrooms for visitors with reduced mobility.   • Discover Platres village, where you can enjoy traditional tavernas, visit the Platres chocolate workshop, or have fun at the rope park.
