Suggestions to enhance your experience
  • Come here at sunset to capture the best possible photos.
  • For an entrance fee of only 2.5 Euros as of the year 2024, you can access the Archaeological Site of Agios Georgios at Pegeia, located right near the start of the walk. This part of the island was once a very prosperous seaport, situated in the middle of trading routes between Alexandria and Rhodes Island. However, after the Arab invasion of Alexandria in the 7th century, the trade route was eliminated, and the settlement ceased to be prosperous, falling into decay. Ruins of basilicas and bathhouses, a necropolis, and partially destroyed mosaics remain from those years. For the location pin, click here.
  • Have a picnic or even a barbecue at Pikni Forest. It features a well-organized picnic site with water, numerous tables, grill places, toilets, and a spacious parking lot. Following the path from the parking lot will lead you to a viewpoint offering sights of Peyia and other villages, the Paphos district coastline, and the hills. For the location pin, click here.
