Suggestions to enhance your experience
  • To enhance your Gialia Nature Trail experience, consider veering off the main path (here or here) for a 4-4.5 km out-and-back journey to Gialia Monastery. Founded in the 10-11th century by Georgian King David III Kuropalates, this once-rich and culturally-significant monastery thrived until earthquakes and the Ottoman occupation of Cyprus led to its abandonment in the late 16th century. While the monastery now lies in ruins, the main structures from the 11-12th century and remnants of Georgian frescoes and inscriptions from the 13-14th century have endured. For the location pin of the monastery, click here.
  • We highly recommend visiting the Greek Orthodox Church of St. Raphael. Nestled in a picturesque location, the church's interior is adorned with beautiful paintings and frescoes. In this place, one can truly feel a pure and serene atmosphere. For the location pin, click here.
  • Make a stop at Limni Pier for a quick swim, taking photos or sunset spotting. It is not crowded, the water is so clean, that you can perfectly see the seabed. For the location pin, click here.
