KAKOMALLIS NATURE TRAIL
Kakomallis Nature Trail offers a stunning panoramic route that’s just a 40-minute drive away from the city of Limassol. The trail is set at an altitude of 1,000 meters above sea level, providing breathtaking views that stretch across Limassol, Akrotiri, and the waters of Limassol Salt Lake. As you explore, you'll also catch sight of nearby dams, dense forests, and sprawling fields. The trail itself is relatively easy to navigate, making it suitable for families and even younger children. Before the trail start, you'll find a picnic site, perfect for taking a break and enjoying a meal amidst the natural beauty that surrounds you. - The road quality is good until Kakomallis Picnic Site, which is 250 meters from the trail start; afterward, there are a few bumps, stones and holes.
- There is no designated parking lot near the trail start. Just park off the road.
- The trail is open all year-round.
- This route is not very crowded.
- The path is in good condition, and there is almost zero risk of slipping.
- If you go counter-clockwise, you will have a steep ascent and a comfortable descent.
- The trail lies partly among trees, which provide shade.
- There are several benches with scenic views along the trail.
